til_xxx 0 #1 May 11, 2007 how do people get so many jumps if there not actually working at a dz? if you have completed your 'a' licence, does it become cheaper or something? or are these people just spending every penny on skydiving? lol...
PhreeZone 20 #2 May 11, 2007 Once you get off student status the cost usually drops to $18-23 a jump. Not that also means you have to have your own skydiving rig to avoid paying to rent one and thats a $1000+ purchase usually. I've spent enough jumping to pay cash for a brand new car at this point and have no intentions of stopping at any time soon.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
skymama 37 #3 May 11, 2007 Get an education so you can get a really good job. Then, you'll be able to pay your bills and jump. First I set aside some money for rent, food, and some beer. All the rest I squander on jumps. countzero 7 #5 May 11, 2007 by spending all thier extra money on jumps. also hop and pops are another way to maximize jump $. example: at my DZ for $60 i can get 3 full alti. jumps or 4 hop and pops. and since i've been liscensed i do at least 3 jumps everytime i go.diamonds are a dawgs best friend
speedy 0 #6 May 11, 2007 I find this works quite well... Take the your net salary and divide it by the cost of a jump ticket. That's how many jumps you can do. Then subtract a couple of jumps for food, a few more jumps for rent and some for the car..... no... fuck the car ... that's too many jumps. towerrat 0 #7 May 11, 2007 another good way is to take all of your posessions to the pawn shop except for your car. Get a job packing on the dz, then find a cheap trailer for rent (on the DZ of course). If you have car payments, ditch it and get a bicycle. That way you won't have anything to worry about losing and you'll have lot's of jump tickets. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!
