jumperbill 0 #1 May 14, 2007 during a recent demo jump in rome ga. our plane from skydive the farm broke down 20 minutes prior to jump we had 400 plus kids and media waiting for the jumpers I called tyler lawson at Atlanta skydiving center which is a competeting DZ that uses the same airport they did not have to help but tyler did not want to disapoint the kids and had the plane over the top on time. and i want every one to thank him for his support to skydiving and the Canopy Piloting Cuircut. DSE 5 #3 May 14, 2007 Very nice to read about one DZ helping out another, competitors or not.
popsjumper 2 #4 May 14, 2007 Yep...he deserves a hearty thanks from all of skydiving for putting politics and drama aside and doing a good thing for the sport. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239
billvon 3,116 #5 May 14, 2007 I'd also give Perris and Elsinore kudos for having the same sort of relationship. During bigways when Perris loses an otter, Elsinore will have one there to fill in in 15 minutes. And when Elsinore has a busy boogie weekend, you'll often see a Perris skyvan or otter taking up the slack. It's heartening to see that sort of cooperation from two DZ's that are very much in competition with each other for business.
