riddler 0 #1 July 6, 2007 So I looked up the website on the airport where I learned to skydive and still skydive. The one reference to skydiving looks like this: Quote- PARAJUMPING ON AND IN VICINITY OF ARPT PRIMARILY S OF RY, AVOID OVERFLIGHTS MID FIELD. OK, so I'm not a pilot, but is this how the FAA refers to skydiving? I checked FAR parts 65 and 105, and I never see a reference to parajumping - just parachute operations and such. Is this common in aircraft literature, or maybe older terminology that's outdated?Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
TangoCharlie77 0 #2 July 6, 2007 I only know that the Air Force refers to pararescuemen as PJs (parajumpers) so perhaps that terminology comes from there...
