Man Billy you beat me by a few seconds but I took the time to look at the OP's location (which is not in the US) so I wasn't going to post the USPA info.

The Parachute Association of South African (PASA) has a website at http://www.para.co.za/ and I'm sure you can find the license requirements for SA there.

Oh I see... oops... well the info's a rough idea of what to expect elsewhere isn't it? She could have mentioned her location...

Which is SOUTH AFRICA... so any of you South African Skydivers on here, pipe in... :)

since I registered at Dropzone, I haven't encountered one South-African. Starting to think they're non-existent.

They are non-existent here. Actually being South African might get you banned by Sangiro, the owner of the website. Just pretend you're from Lesotho or something :|

Thanks for the websites guys, I'll go look around there :)

No, we definitely exist :)) There are a few people from PSC around too. Re licences, look on the PASA website para.co.za under Documents, first section Manual of Procedures, BSRs (chapter 2) has the basic licence requirements for each level (as well as currency requirements and other stuff)... though if you want all the detail you will need to get into each discipline's section (e.g. Cat 3 requirement for B licence is discipline dependent, but you don't need all that info now anyway!)

By the way, you'll need to know the stuff in Chapter 2 for your A licence test. A also requires 25 jumps, completed student progression, completed ISPs, and packing instruction.
