RB_Hammer 0 #9 July 11, 2007 Great idea Dave! I have been facinated with the jumps Col. Kittenger did even before I actually started skydiving. I have watched the peice that the Discovery Channel did on him at least three times, and I would watch it again. One question I would ask him if I ever met him would be if he had the chance to do a similar jump again for just the experience, not the science, would he? BTW, thanks for the mention in the last show."I'm not lost. I don't know where I'm going, but there's no sense in being late." Mathew Quigley

milehighpres 0 #11 July 12, 2007 hopefully we can get a transcript posted on DZ.com.....it would be great to hear some of the answers to the questions. he took home three world records on one jump alone(longest freefall, longest parachute ride, highest open gondola ballon ride).and is also mention in reports taken at the notorious roswell incident as the red haired captain. also spending 11 months in the HANOI HILTON. after being shot down 4 days short of completing his tour. this guy is awesome...cant wait..."the sky is not the limit....the ground is"

peregrinerose 0 #15 July 12, 2007 Just talked with my aunt, his friend, again. She passed along your email and phone. He's actually looking forward to the interview. She went on vacation with him last year and he spent over 2 hours talking about the skydive as well as his time as a POW. She said he was fascinating to listen to. Should make for a great interview. ltdiver 3 #16 July 12, 2007 Quoteoh and yes he holds a record for being the only man to go faster that the speed of sound without a vehicle I believe that will be confirmed or laid to rest in the interview. I believe that grew as a story that was not true. Fast, yes. But shy of Mach 1. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
