You make 10 straight pre-declared stand-up landings in a 10 meter circle (or something like that) with witnesses that can sign off on them (S&TA, I/E, etc), pass a written test, and go through a check-list of demo issues with your S&TA."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
PhreeZone 20 #28 September 1, 2007 Billy, its been a while since you applied for the PRO. You have to do the 10 accuracy jumps, 1 jump with smoke, 1 jump with a flagrecieved instruction on ground crewing, ground crewed at least 1 jump and learn about the paperwork then take the test. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Ah, thanks. I've done all of the above, but only a dry run with smoke set-up on a practice demo, the actual smoke demo jump was cancelled. Glad to see the requirements have toughened. bch7773 0 #30 September 4, 2007 I've actually done something similiar... my college stadium didn't allow jumps into the stadium, as they already had other actractions during pregame... usually a boring award ceremony for donaters so we did a demo into a soccer field outside the stadium during a paintball tourniment they were holding there. Its obviously a lot more open, and didn't require a PRO rating. Looking down into the nice big empty stadium under canopy sure tempted me though I think though your idea of landing outside the stadium on a demo won't work. People inside the stadium won't be interested in a tiny speck in the sky that never gets closer than 2000 feet. I'd say keep training, get your PRO, and then do demos at the games. airtwardo 7 #31 September 8, 2007 Sounds like you're getting a lot of good advise here... The only thing I would add is if in fact the school is behind you in this, do a bunch of actual practice jumps on site without a crowd there...and jump 'exactly' what you would on a real demo...flag, smoke, rubber duck etc. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
