speedy 0 #1 December 6, 2007 How the hell do you expect to find the new TM's to replace the ones that retire? This pisses me off, my DZ will try to get the new skydivers to progress to what ever level they want to. After we have trained them some fucking tandem factory takes them and I am still searching for TM's. What is going on here? And it's not the pay. We pay more than most. mircan 0 #6 December 6, 2007 Maybe it is the hype. What I mean is, maybe TIs think that the working at the known "tandem factory" will have effect on their career-connections in sport-etc... One other thing, what is the working atmosphere on your DZ, inter-staff relations? I left mine DZ because head honchos were giving me hard time. It was no matter that jumps and the rest were OK, when they are bitching all the time... You know, everything you do somehow is not good enough etc... (I was not TI though, just packing, organizing, ground training...). I now have another dz, and im pretty happy with it. my 2cdudeist skydiver #
Andrewwhyte 1 #7 December 6, 2007 Quote And it's not the pay. We pay more than most. More per jump, or more per year? What do you mean by tandem mill? One that does nothing else, or one that puts the tandems as its highest priority. The reason I ask is that I have heard of many dzs called tandem factories by smaller dzs when in fact buried in amongst the tandems are more fun jumps than the smaller dz.
