I only met Ray a few times but he was always smiling and always had time to talk, he tried to loan me his rig in Houston the last time I saw him but it was too big. I will miss him. Blue Skies my FRIEND!!! Sadly, I have the misfortune to inform you that our beloved Ray Privitt passed away last night from a undetermined illness. He was unable to attend the Larry Hinson Benefit 4-way scramble at Skydive Houston this past week-end because he was feeling ill. He checked in to Memorial Hermann in the hopes he could get better and be able to attend. Many will remember Ray as being Johnny Skydive’s video man on his 4 way team and later the President of The Texas Skydiving Association.
