Icon134 0 #2 January 11, 2008 Eddie, I usually just eliminate the middle man and go straight to the source... http://www.nws.noaa.gov/ of course that only really works if your in the United States... The site skydiving weather does appear to be down at the moment though...Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
slotperfect 7 #3 January 11, 2008 I use this one religiously: http://www.usairnet.com/weather.htm Select your state in the "Launch Code" drop down, then your location in the "Get Forecast" drop down. The next screen gives you loads of GREAT information for planning. Links at the top right lead to radar images and sunrise/sunset info. Winds aloft info is also available starting from the opening page, although the selection of reporting locations is not as good.Arrive Safely John
slotperfect 7 #4 January 11, 2008 I also use the local ASOS telephone numbers to get real-time automated reports for airports in close proximity to the DZ I am jumping at. You can find your local numbers here: http://www.faa.gov/airports_airtraffic/weather/asos/ If you are a fellow Raefordite, here are the local numbers: Fayetteville (910) 484-1546 Laurinburg (910) 844-5338 Southern Pines (910) 692-4287Arrive Safely John
