go4ski 0 #1 January 19, 2005 I am a beginner learning the basics. Except wind tunnel and an instructor, is there any known method to test by yourself that you are falling straight? I think about a small sand bag or similar that I can release when reach the terminal velocity and then use it as a reference.
efex 0 #2 January 19, 2005 The best way to do this is grab yourself a WARP coach and do a few coaching jumps. You will learn alot more, and get feedback, than you will be able to from a 'space toy' (as I believed they are called, not mentioning you need to retrieve them before you pull). Tonto 1 #4 January 19, 2005 I don't understand your poll. 1, 2, 3, 4 what? If you don't know if you're going straight down, you have no business releasing things in freefall. Work with your instructors. Good luck, tIt's the year of the Pig.

Looking at the ground will not tell you if you are falling straight down since the wind will be moving you. Either a tunnel or a coach will be able to help.Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

slotperfect 7 #8 January 19, 2005 This really wasn't a poll. I disabled it, since the data in the responses would have no value. Next time, please choose "Post New" instead. Thanks.Arrive Safely John
