Falling straight

Recommended Posts

I am a beginner learning the basics. Except wind tunnel and an instructor, is there any known method to test by yourself that you are falling straight?

I think about a small sand bag or similar that I can release when reach the terminal velocity and then use it as a reference.

The best way to do this is grab yourself a WARP coach and do a few coaching jumps. You will learn alot more, and get feedback, than you will be able to from a 'space toy' (as I believed they are called, not mentioning you need to retrieve them before you pull).

You can look at the ground and see if you are moving alot, but the only way to reall tell is to get someone experienced who knows they are not moving and jump with you.

Looking at the ground will not tell you if you are falling straight down since the wind will be moving you. Either a tunnel or a coach will be able to help.
