heidihagen 0 #1 January 28, 2005 poll: did you make post tandem jump with one instructor or two? I'm in the early stages of training & my last jump was less than perfect. Since I might be making a jump at perris while visiting, I've started looking at other drop zones to see how similar their training programs are to my home dz. I currently jump with one instructor and have since day one (after my tandems) ...but I noticed some schools start students off with two. What are there advantages/disadvantages to each method? which method of training produces best results? I know there's not a wrong or right way, I'm just curious. heidii didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce
bodypilot1 0 #2 January 28, 2005 Hello Heidi The Tandem assisted program is a great program. Getting the students body position, altitude awareness and canopy skills down before going to a single Instructor skydive has proven to produce many great skydivers, as I have did this exact program for years. The added assistance of having the Instructor right there with you from exit to landing for your first 2 skydive is definitely a big benefit to some. As you progress to a single AFF Instructor, it's possible some people may need a 2nd Instructor to assist in student body position, but not really necessary if the single main side Instructor is good in his ground briefings and air skills. The main reason you see people having 2 Instructors is because they didn't go through the 2 tandems before going with thier own gear into freefall. If you feel you need another Instructor on your jumps, though you have been using only a single AFF Instructor, dont be affraid to ask if you can have another Instructor assist you on YOUR skydive. You will probably have to pay more for the jump, but it will give you "peace of mind". I hope this helps, and good luck on your next jump! Relax..... Peej 0 #3 January 28, 2005 I did my first jump with two instructors but that's only because we don't offer a tandem progression course here in South Africa. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
