Kidd 0 #1 January 30, 2005 I have an A License and it's been 40 days since my last jump. What are the requirements to get current?
nate_1979 9 #2 January 30, 2005 According to the USPA you are current for two months, I've hit that a couple of times due to military obligations.. FGF #??? I miss the sky... firstime 0 #3 January 30, 2005 90 days, then you should do a category d with a AFF instructor. SIMS section 5-2 item D3
nate_1979 9 #4 January 30, 2005 Oops, 90 days I have been known to ask a coach to do a jump with me, covering his slot, if I go too long, even if the USPA says I'm current.. FGF #??? Kidd 0 #6 January 30, 2005 Thank you Nate and Firstime. I agree with you on the part of jumping with a coach after periods of absence at the DZ. I was Stationed on the USS Von Steuben SSBN 632 and the USS Nevada SSBN 733.

Shark 0 #8 January 30, 2005 You might want to review your SIM again. USPA A-license holders who have not made a freefall skydive within— 1. 60 days: should make at least one jump under the supervision of a currently rated USPA instructional rating holder until demonstrating altitude awareness, freefall control on all axes, tracking, and canopy skills sufficient for safely jumping in groups. 2. 90 days: should make at least one jump beginning in Category D with a USPA AFF Instructor or in Category B with a USPA IAD Static-Line, or Tandem Instructor before proceeding to unsupervised freefall.
