why 0 #1 March 30, 2008 new dzo wondering what a fair hourly wage is for someone working manifest?
AllisonH 0 #2 March 30, 2008 The two places I've worked pay $9-12, depending on what exactly they expect you to do. Just manifest, file, and answer phones? Or do planning, newsletters, scheduling and training of other employees, etc. These were both small to medium sized seasonal DZs.
Tink1717 2 #3 March 30, 2008 There is no hourly wage high enogh for a good manifester. Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... I could never work manifest...I would be up on murder charges the first day. New DZO: What you do is find a good one and then marry her. Um...on second thought. It would be cheaper to pay the high wage now and avoid the divorce screwing you'll get later. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. stratostar 5 #7 March 31, 2008 What a DZO wanting to pay a fair wage to a staff position, I guess you won't be a new DZO for long. You need to study the industry and you'll see DZO's only hire young stupid kids who will work for cheap pay, enough to keep them eating ramon and PB&J and tent over their head. Get with the program. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
