jmar595 0 #1 March 11, 2008 How do you know what kind of chute u would need? What do the numbers mean? Is there a way to determine what weight of a person it will hold? Lots of questions, I am going to go the end of April. I am trying to keep a look out for a good deal. Thanks.
ltdiver 3 #2 March 11, 2008 First let us welcome you to the sport. It's a life changing experience. Next, it's a bit premature to be looking for equipment, since you've yet to even make your first jump. Be patient while you continue your beginning education. When you start your student training let your Instructors guide you in what is best for -you-. Everyone is an individual and it'll be your instructors who will know you best. Let them lead. In the mean time, have a look at this page to start your education. http://www.dropzone.com/safety/resources/handbook/gloss2.shtml Have fun. Be safe. And PULL! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
jmar595 0 #3 March 11, 2008 Thank you very much for the list that clears some things up I've been seeing around here. I just want to go SOOOO badly. I went to Spartan in Tulsa to go to flight school. They said do you have $10,000. NOOO! Well, can you come up with $100? What for? They said you can become a mechanic and go to flight school later. I took the bait and I am working on P-3 Orions at Greenville, Texas. I want to fly more than anything, and this is the closest I can see to what I want to do. The urge has been getting worse lately, and I am going to go the end of April come hell or high water. I have to drop some weight, but that is no biggy. Sorry about the rambling, just stoked that's all. I've been coming home every night and whating skydiving videos, I work nights. Do you all know how good you have it? Thanks for listening. blackout 0 #5 March 13, 2008 I think its probably more expensive than a good coke habit if you are serious about skydiving. At least it wont land you in jail though
marcandalysse 0 #6 March 13, 2008 just curious...what does your pregnant wife think about your plans to skydive? I know lots of men who have STOPPED skydiving when the first kid is on the way.....
