My New helmet & camera setup

I've just completed my Camera Helmet setup with the purchase of an Archos 605 to go with my bullet cam and Black 2K Composites helmet. No more heavy cameras .... Sweeeet.

Good luck with that Archos, it's got a harddrive

Unless you got the 4GB flash based version, then you're good to go.

It's the 4Gb solid state one. I researched and found warnings about any hard-drive recorders [potentially] having problems when jumping.

4Gb should be enough (especially if I take my laptop with me) otherwise I can bung in another SD card.

Hard drive issue is gone w/the 4GB card, but it's still low bandwidth MP4, proprietary version, at extremely low resolution.
For fun jump records...just fine. For tandems?

For tandems, no way. But seen cameras like this used for debriefing AFF etc type jumps, works fine for that.

Don't worry matey, I'm not after your job

I'm only a recreational jumper. It's just a bit of fun to record my dives and paraglider flights so that I can have a few laughs with my mates and blackmail (for beer) some of them for messing up the occasional exit .


P.S The helmet fits like a glove - very nice finish and great camera conection plates

I went through 3 Archos 605's, kept burning out the hard drives from skdiving and flying in the tunnel.
