Never nervous jumpng, but real nervous after I read stuff here.

Don't want to argue or debate details further, especially given the seemingly cavalier approach you have to some very serious issues. If your comments truly reflect your attitude and approach to skydiving, you might be a dangerous person to yourself and others.

That's not a personal attack, just a concern over how you might manage risk if all those statements are not just how you like to convey your personality over the net; but are really how you think. You either have some very bizarre thoughts or are just a bit sloppy expressing them.

Maybe after some more experience, more time around the DZ, maybe a couple hundred more jumps you will think differently.

One of the problems with the web is that you get SO much information so quickly. Years ago, when things were actually a lot hairier, it would take months, even years to hear so much scary stuff. By then you'd have the experience to temper your perspective. But now, you have all the dirty laundry hung out before you, while you still don't have the perspective.

Keep jumping and jump safe. Don't get complacent. A safe jumper gets noticed and respected.

A jumper who had a thousand jumps nearly killed us both when he spiraled down in front of me. I was on final after flying a conservative, predictable left-hand pattern. Anyone can take you out at any time.

Part of the reason I got into skydiving was *because* I was scared of it! Overcoming the paralyzing fear and converting it into constructive action is a life lesson that is really important.

I'm starting to have fun now but I'm always a bit nervous about everything. Hopefully that's in a good way. :)

What you say sounds like a normal reaction to putting your life in danger. If anyone here says that they were never scared then I call BS on them. I will be the first to admit that I was very scared for the first year I jumped. Especially because I saw two people (highly experienced jumpers) go in right in front of me when I only had 11 jumps. It took all that I had to go back up in the plane the next day with my coach. I also knew that if I did not go then I would never jump again.
Popsjumper is right on with his post. Complacency will kill you fast. I hope you always have the pit of your stomach feeling.
However, you will find that as your confidence builds the feeling is not as bad.
