Number of jumper in a Cessna 206

I've recently had discussions with various people in the skydiving community about the number of jumpers permitted on a cessna 206.
I spent 10 years jumping a 206 where we regularly loaded 6 jumpers + pilot and the weight and balance was within limits. From chatting to people in the UK, I understand that the maximum number of jumpers allowed here is 5.
Let me know your idea's / experience.

182 5pax + skipper
206 6pax + skipper

up to 10,000, if you want to got to 14K take a book or lighten the load

we jump a 206 and we only take 5 and pilot,, not sure how close we are to the weight limits. but 5 is cramped enough. make me love our caravan that much more

Finally got to jump out of a 206 last weekend.

We get 6 jumpers + pilot, it's no more cramped then a 182.

I was a bit let down by the speed though, the trip to 14,000ft was a lot longer then I expected.

That's actually just a popular myth. In reality, the distance from Australia to 14,000 feet is the same as anywhere else.

Some countries limit the number of jumpers to the number of seat belts, which means that a Cessna 206 can legally only carry a pilot plus five skydivers.

Density altitude is also a factor.

For example, at Hemet, California (starting at 2,500 feet above sea level), and summer temperatures approaching 100 degrees fahreneheit, humid, etc. we only took five skydivers (two tandems plus a photographer) in our Cessna 206.
Six skydivers might have been within the legal weight and balance, but it would have taken forever to climb to 10,000 feet ... far longer than a Cessna 182.

Weight and balance, and seat belt attach points (each attach point is rated to 250 -200 lbs depending on model) the aircraft can carry 6 jumper and a pilot. Maybe even 7 little Jumpers and a pilot. Cookie only weighed 95lbs. The POH states " Pilot and 5 Jumpers" That statement may be interpreted as a limitation by that regulating body. Wing mods, bigger engine, Prop and the climb performance can match a light 182. www.aerialtransport.com
