tetra316 0 #26 October 17, 2008 People are asking. You are a representative. Therefore, you should be digging further to find out what really happened and let us know. Otherwise, why are you a representative?
CSpenceFLY 1 #27 October 17, 2008 Ding Ding Ding...We have a winner. Or better yet maybe there shoud be a place for us members(of the USPA) to go, log in and see exactly what the board has done and why.

I would prefer this by far since the 'representatives' don't seem to want to do any representing.
DanG 1 #29 October 17, 2008 You people are so far past reasonable on this it is crazy. Ed REPRESENTED his constituents by making sure they were not screwed. Digging up dirt for dirt's sake to satisfy the rubber-necking whims of people not in the least involved in the situation is NOT his job. You want to harass someone, harass the Executive Committee or, and this is a crazy thought, your own Regional Director. Ed, as your constituent, I officially ask you not to waste your valuable time on this isssue any more than is needed to make sure that members in the Mid-Atlantic Region are not screwed over. I, too, am curious as to what happened. But jumping in Ed's shit for doing the right thing as a Regional Director is just fucked up. Vote for Ed, he's the best Regional Director I've seen in the Mid-Atlantic Region in 13 years. - Dan G
CSpenceFLY 1 #30 October 17, 2008 Why do people think asking questions is jumping on someones ass? This is a forum. When is the last time you saw someone post something and that be the end of it and there was no other questions? Yes there are some that may seem accusatory but after the recent actions of the Executive Committee that is justifiable. I haven't taken anything posted in this thread as an attack on Ed. travelingmack 0 #32 October 17, 2008 QuoteI heard one of the higher ups in USPA lost all their ratings. I was wondering if anyone knew who it was and why it happened? This red bull sponsored guy Travis Pastrana did a similar jump, what happens to him?

Ed clearly respresented his region's members by making sure they got the ratings they earned. That's his job, and he does it well. I don't know where I heard this or possibly read this, but I was under the impression Travis Pastrana got his License take away because of that Jump.... Here is the link to that jump referred to : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-94i8YEeiIM
ozzy13 0 #37 October 17, 2008 In the USPA October issue it stated that Travis Had his USPA membership revoked. Its on page 18 That has nothing to do with what is being talked about here. A IE had his ratings pulled and inquiring minds what to know why?Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

I was responding to somebodies inquiry about what happened to Travis Pastrana.... Pastrana did something stupid and USPA revoked his license. Sounds pretty similiar to what is being talked about, eh? Gary73 10 #40 October 18, 2008 Folks, Ed Dixon is one of the few Directors who should get re-elected. Don't criticize him for not giving you every bit of information you might want to have. Thank him for providing the information that he did, and remember that he has certain legal obligations as a Board member that sometimes keep him from saying any more than he does. Disciplinary actions often fall into this category. If you want more information about this matter, ask the members of the Executive Committee. Ed is a stand-up guy and the jumpers of the Mid-Atlantic would be smart to re-elect Ed as the regional director. I have only been to 3 board meetings with Ed but he is always the voice of reason and someone who truly cares about skydiving and the members he represents. Our regions overlap with USPA headquarters in the middle so I have jumped in Ed's region. I have not met one person who did not speak highly of Mr. Dixon. He has been to every dropzone in his region during his tenure and no other RD can say that. (including myself although I might be a close second)For everyone else on this thread do you think it is appropriate to post on the internet that you had your ratings pulled without due process? If this happened to you would you want your privacy violated without being able to tell your side of the story? It could be something as simple as forgeting to pay your dues or something much more sinister or everything in-between. I know I have forgot to renew in a timely maner before, I have even (gasp) drove a motor vehichle with expired tags! But each time I was re-instated and all was forgiven...... Nothing to see here folks...... Move along Onward and Upward!
