180 Day Repack Cycle!!!

Recommended Posts

Am I reading this rule correctly? My reserve, which just went out of date, will go back into date on December 19th, and I can jump it until it reaches 180 days??

From USPA frequently asked questions...
Q: Even if my reserve pack job had previously expired?
A: Only to a point. Beginning December 19, count back 180 days—if the reserve was packed within those 180 days, it is legal to jump.

Which (if I've done the math correctly) means that on December 19th, if my reserve was repacked on or before July 22nd, I am good to go. Does that sound right??

Looks like I might have to make a couple more winter jumps this year... B|

I don't think your math is right :) 180 days before December 19th is June 22nd.

And how I read it was if it was packed between June 22nd and December 19th, it is legal to jump. Not if it was packed on or before June 22nd.

And your new expiration/repack date would be 180 days from the day of your pack.

So...Mine was packed on August 19th. My new repack date is Feb 15th....The day the Puerto Rico boogie ends, I think it's a sign....

Correct me if I'm wrong!
