ryan_d_sucks 0 #1 January 17, 2009 Is it possible to launch a tube from a 182? I could see _maybe_ getting a 2-way tube, but has anyone ever done a 3-way tube? If so, how? If you got a 2-way, how? I'm talking the "narrow body" 182, not the widebody (that extra few inches counts). Thanks

Thanks 1 on the step, 1 in the crotch, the 3rd hanging off the strut with 1 foot on the step. I take a little practice, it helps if the guy out on the strut has done it a few times. You can also have the 3rd guy dive/get pulled out the door, but that's a bit harder."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." gearless_chris 1 #4 January 17, 2009 Stan said they used to do 4 way tubes out of the 182. It sounded very difficult. Maybe he could show you at Richmond this year."If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane. My momma said I could be anything I wanted when I grew up, so I became an a$$hole. lekstrom10k 0 #5 January 18, 2009 We rolled a four-way of the 182 step many years ago. I,ll try try to remember how we did it. I was lying on my back on the with my head towarda the fuselage the second guy out face out with his feet on the edge one handed grabbed my appropriate leg strap the third guy out had one foot on the step and grabbed #2and pushed up to hold us the fourth guy scooted out the door as far as possible. Igrabbed his leg straps. after a pass up shake #2 grabbed my other leg strap and off we went. We never got to try it much after that as the pilot said it was hard to fly while laughing so much. Hey Naked Larry, That's pretty much how I remember Stan describing it, someone had to pretty much stand on their head, and someone was actually laying on the step. Paula had a different way they tried but it's not guaranteed to work. Somehow they were taking legstrap grips with their arms crossed so it would unfold on exit. I say we do a nice big tube at Summerfest this year. We did a 12way(3 rows of 4) for my 400th, but a 15 way would be pretty easy. Stan said they did 21 once with two rows on their backs."If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane. My momma said I could be anything I wanted when I grew up, so I became an a$$hole. iwasinkheson68 0 #7 January 19, 2009 we did a three way off the step for my 200th, i sat on the step, on half an ass-cheek, with feet and sundry limbs criss crossing everywhere. we spent ages working it out on the mock up, but pulled it off (all first-timers from a 182) with no problems. nb as we were mocking it up the DZSO came round the corner of the hanger and started laughing at us, and i suppose, our dreams.
