madhatter 0 #1 May 6, 2009 "Now capture your sky diving moment and show to your friends & family" is a story that popped up on Google news. "GoSkyDive.com.au realized the importance of such wonderful moments. Hence, the company is offering you video and picture shooting services of your sky diving moments. The company announced that video and snap capturing services would be USP (unique selling point) of all new lucrative packages." You mean it's actually possible to have pictures and video of yourself when doing a tandem? C'mon folks - this isn't news! Making other dz's seem like they're NOT offering video is bad for the marketing of skydiving as a whole, IMO. Edit:Spelling & opinionA VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! DSE 5 #2 May 6, 2009 why? It's skydiving. It's in the news. It's a new service to them. It went worldwide, thus probably making some folks aware of skydiving. They didn't disparage anyone in their press release. Other than our DZ, i haven't seen any other DZ advertise delivery to iPod...they're thinking creatively. dunno that I'd do a press release on it though. JohnMitchell 16 #3 May 6, 2009 Yep, any good press is good advertising for our sport. Sometimes even bad press will bring 'em out.
madhatter 0 #4 May 6, 2009 Reading it again, you're right; at least it's skydiving press. At first glance it just seemed really patronizing to me...A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! D.S #
