Ketia0 0 #1 May 15, 2009 To a smaller canopy!! and it rocked! I was doing 260 through all my training. but they let me use a 230 on my last jump. I weigh 170#s I dont know if it was the canopy, or just my head because i was so stoked for getting a different canopy, but it seemed to go much faster. and it was funner! I dont know if they will let me go much lower than that.. What is the average for a skydiver who weighs around the 160-180 range?"In this game you can't predict the future. skydude2000 3 #2 May 15, 2009 Hi Katia, I'm glad you're enjoying your new canopy. What your instructors will let you jump, is going to depend on your weight, your ability, your experience and your jump numbers. Here are some excellent recommendations from a fantastic instructor and canopy pilot: http://www.bigairsportz.com/pdf/bas-sizingchart.pdf Happy reading PULL!! or DIE!! What is the average for a skydiver who weighs around the 160-180 range? 190-210 for a first canopy depending on where you fall in that weight range since you'll be 185 - 205 pounds out the door.
