quade 4 #4 May 21, 2009 QuoteSomething that fit into this catagory, "Everything you need to know about skydiving." No such book exists. Most books focus at most on one of several topics, but no book, to my knowledge, has "everything you need to know" in it. At the student level, the best book you can read really is the USPA Skydiver's Information Manual, especially Section 2, because that is the information that will hopefully be used on every skydive you ever make.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

pirana 0 #6 May 21, 2009 You should consult with this one columnist from The Onion. I believe his column is Ask A Coffin Salesman. Very good advice on all topics." . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley
awagnon 0 #7 May 22, 2009 QuoteTry "The Skydiver's Handbook" by Dan Poynter and Mike Turoff. I agree with Bry, Poynter's book was very good as was the SIM. Also, there are a number of very good articles in the "Safety" section of dropzone.com. Click just to the right of "Forums". Some good stuff there, and like the SIM, free.Alton "Luck favors the prepared."
