JohnDeere 0 #2 May 22, 2009 Dont worry about being super fit. I promise im not. It is a little bit of a "workout" after a long day of jumping but not bad at all! Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
airtwardo 7 #3 May 22, 2009 It's a GRAVITY sport...not a lotta lifting & running involved. Take a look around the DZ, there's fat ones, skinny ones, ones missin' pieces off their carcass...some places even let GIRLS jump! Just pay attention in training you'll be fine, once you begin to jump on a regular basis you'll work into the fitness required...once you start directing the money toward skydiving that you use to spend on food...the pounds seem to melt away! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

brucet7 0 #7 May 22, 2009 I started jumping at 55 as a personal reward for a weighloss program. I am not very flexible but so long as you can arch and climb around a strut on a 182, you should be good. I think the most tiring is carrying it all back to the trailer and crawling around packing the chute.POPS #10623; SOS #1672

You don't need any particular fitness, but if you do want to start working out a bit it can only help your enjoyment of the sport. The fitter you are, and at least as importantly the more flexible you are the less tired you'll be after a weekend of jumping and the less you'll ache the next day.Do you want to have an ideagasm? nerd137 0 #12 May 22, 2009 During your first jump course, an instructor will verify that you can do at least 100 chinups and 100 situps, or else they won't let you jump.
