georgiamomof3 0 #1 June 23, 2009 I am wanting to tandem jump for my 51st bday, have wanted to do this for a long time, and the older i get the more afraid i become, so figured i need to do it now. I am in ga. and have searched the diff dz, but im not sure it has helped. I am in augusta, and was looking for one somewhat close by, and should i go with one that is opened 7 days a week, (more experience with tandem jumps?) the one i was leaning towards is skydive atl. located in thomaston, but they are now opened only on sat. and sun . Anyone have any other suggestions.? thank you

rlucus 0 #3 June 23, 2009 http://www.skydivethefarm.com/ You won't regret it. Come out for the 4th of July weekend and I'll see you there :) Skydive Atlanta is also not a bad choice.
JoeQ.Public 0 #4 June 23, 2009 The closest DZ to you is going to be the one that just reopend in Monroe Ga. You will be safe at any of Georgias dropzones. I would recommend any of them except Atlanta Skydiving Center in Cedartown Ga, the owners are crooks.Very soon, an honest person will not be able to sing the last 2 lines of our National Anthem:::Practice safe dining....use condiments
georgiamomof3 0 #5 June 23, 2009 reopened? can you tell me why it was closed? Guess decision could also be based on type of aircraft? my husband was surprising me and booking the dz in monroe, cause of it's close location, but like i said, i may be a big chicken, and more than location is going to be a factor . lol. as for atlanta skydiving center, they have alot of videos posted on u-tube for tandem, but have read many posts , and reviews that are not favorable. thank you again
billeisele 130 #6 June 23, 2009 Monroe is a great and safe dropzone, owner is a pilot, tandem and AFF instructor beleive they are flying a King Air - twin engine turbo prop plane I'm an instructor at Skydive Carolina, we've had a few folks from Augusta but it is about 2.5 hours away, we would love to have you but Monroe is closer and a good DZGive one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.
The_Don 0 #7 June 24, 2009 They were flying the King Air. Might be down a while, one of the props hit the dirt last Saturday. No one injured.I am NOT being loud. I'm being enthusiastic!
