buff 0 #9 November 29, 2010 Tried a 22-way with an 8-flat base at Couchfreaks. Don't know the actual number because it was only one attempt. diablopilot 2 #11 November 29, 2010 I'm going to offer the definition of a hybrid as a formation that falls faster than belly speeds through the use of flyers docked on belly flyers in a vertical orientation.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. That looks like that magical one point in time just before the zoo happems. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Sort of like a vSCR attempt I was on a few years ago where the other hanger and I punched out into a stand at slightly different speeds. The 6-way base stood completely on its side before it blew up. Quite the visual to see that all coming over the top of you. This happened right at break-off, so the other hanger was launched into a very nice and fast track!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Its a 4way belly base, with 4 headdown hangers, and 2 sitflyers hanging from the headdown hangers...so its a 3 level hybrid. And it flew quite well, the only thing missing from the original plan are the stingers. I took the pic, btw.HISPA #93 DS #419.

Wasn't it a 104 way, with Mike Swanson and Jon Devore sitting in the rooms?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. davelepka 4 #22 November 30, 2010 Quotedidn't know the actual number? that doesn't sound being very safe on your part You say this based on what? Your extensive experience with 20-ways? What's the difference if it was 22, 24 or even 34? All of them are too big for you to be counting jumpers or canopies, and this is where you count on your skill, experience and training for both freefalling and flying a canopy in a crowd (provided you have those things). This is why skydivers spend time jumping, and learning, and developing skills, so they can achieve a level of proficiency and get invited onto larger, more technical jumps. Maybe you should hold your comments until another newbie wants to lie to a DZO and jump a wing suit well before the BSR permits, as that seems to be your area of expertise.
