ncfitzge 0 #1 November 25, 2005 So, what is the low down on when you demo a canopy? How long do you get to keep it? Is that what I should expect if I decide to buy one?#148 Sonic Scrat "Have you ever kissed a rabbit between the eyes?" javip82 0 #3 November 25, 2005 I think that you pay about 30 to 60 bucks, and you get to keep it for about 2 weeks. My friend used to do it alot and it is a good way to save some money and also to try out different canopies in order to make your first choice of canopy. ____________________________________ You know what's out there. AggieDave 6 #4 November 25, 2005 Firstly, feel free to search, lots of info on the forums here... You keep it as long as the manufacture says, typically 2 weeks (or 3 if you call and explain the bad weather you had). They send you a canopy, you pay a small fee and shipping (typically around $30), it comes on risers (usually, some companies don't do this), hook up your PC and d-bag, go jump the snot out of it. If you decide to buy one, the company typically doesn't give any discount or anything, that's how they make their money for having demo canopies. You try, you like you buy...they make more canopies and the cycle continues.Demo everything you're qualified for in an appropiate wingloading, try all different manufactures and find the canopy that really does it for you.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." tdog 0 #5 November 25, 2005 And if you know someone in the same market as you, you can split the cost of the shipping and demo it... The last one I demoed, the manufacture let us keep it longer because they knew more than one customer was demoing it... Its too their advantage too, as they want as many people seeing their product...
