Isn't the Internet fantastic? It helps you find people who are like you. Now I know I'm not alone. Got my wife to come 'round for a gathering now and then at the DZ but she doesn't even wanna look up, makes her shiver, feeling dizzy. Not to talk about she never ever will jump with me. That is life.
OTOH I'd never ever attend a concert of her favourite band "Pur" (German folks know what I talk about; things put short: Band with 99,9% female audience aged 20 to 60+ ) So we're even, huh?

Took mine on a tandem 20 years ago...she was flying aerobatic contests & air shows, I though it would be a good idea for her to pull a ripcord in freefall.
A lotta pilot types get a little squirrelly when they get some wind in the face.

She did 'ok', had a bit of trouble comprehending we were descending at 10,000 feet a minute instead of her usual 500...


But that was it, never wanted to do another. She would swing by Elsinore or Perris once in a great while when I was jumping there...but only AFTER the beer light was lit.

I gave her some credit a couple years back, she was reading Parachutist & Skydiving every month & trying to converse...'take interest' so to speak.


It was a trick, I ended up 'taking interest' in two, back to back LIgabue concerts in southern France she got tickets for...my favorite ~ Frog-rock & roll and I don't speak the language.

There are a lot of different opinion here... Broken into a couple of main groups:

the first group says I shouldn't get married cause its a trap and that I should buy a second rig with the money I save;

The second group says that if I take my girl to the dz she will get hit on; but if I get two rigs she will still get hit on but will be busier packing so I'm safer;

So I'm gonna buy a second rig.

Some other good advice in there too, but I only a have an attention span of about three minutes so I can't remember all of them :)
