I've been watching some cop chestcam videos for entertainment (people acting badly) and there are some common themes that run through them.

Almost everyone -  "I didn't do anything"
Most people - "call your supervisor"
Most people - "I know (some other cop) call him"
Often - "I'm going to sue you!  You're not going to have a job tomorrow!"
Often - "You fat pig, I hope your kids die" (or similar levels of insults)
Often - "You can't touch me, it's illegal, I know my rights"
Often - "You can't do this to me"

There is a movement growing called the "sovereign citizen" movement that claims that people driving are not really driving so they can't get tickets or get tested for alcohol or drugs.  They are not driving (they claim) they are traveling, and the Constitution protects the right to travel, so they don't have to show a driver's license.  Needless to say this never works, but does lead to some funny interactions.  And I have to say the cops who handle this show amazing levels of courtesy and restraint when it comes to treating them civilly.

But recently there has been a new meme emerging in these videos, that since Trump is now president and DEI is dead white people have special privileges when it comes to being arrested.

A drunk guy who crashed into a cop car while trying to flee a DWI arrest: "I'm not an immigrant, I'm a white guy, I'm a good citizen.  I pay your salary.  Why are you doing this?  I didn't do anything!"

A drunk woman who had driven the wrong way on a one way street and got arrested:  "I am a Christian woman!  A Christian woman!  I'm not . . . like you . .  like . .  what is he? (the other cop)  He's not a Christian, and he's doing this to me!"

This next one was said to the cop wearing the camera.  I assume she was black; you can't see the officer wearing the camera of course.

"You're black.  You're DEI.  You're not any good, you're just DEI.  How does it feel to be comtent and hired just because of DEI?"

Bizarrely she later saw a white officer, and tried the following on the same black officer.

"She (indicating the white officer) just said you were DEI and you were incompetent.  You're incompetent, she said you're incompetent.  How do you feel about that, that she said you're incompetent?  Your partner or . . .  that?"

Drunk woman pushes her way onto an aircraft and sits in first class.  Airline employees can't get her to move.  Finally they deplane the passengers and get her to walk off.  She refuses to leave the jetway and so they arrest her and drag her to the police car.

In the back of the car she says:

"Trump in the Art of the Deal, he'd be like this is so . . . not right!   . . . I voted for you!  I voted for Trump!  I voted for you to go after the drug dealers and the criminals and the immigrants, not people like me.  Why aren't you  . . .I didn't even do anything!  Why aren't you doing the . .  going after them?"

And this one is just funny.

Drunk woman trying to kick the window out of a cop car.  The cop asks her if she wants to take a breathalyzer test and tells her the consequence of not taking one.

"Trump even knows! . . . I want Donald Trump to be able to exactly . . . Donald Trump, Donald Trump . ."
"So now that I have explained that to you, do you want to take the test?"
"Donald Trump.  Donald Trump.  As long as Donald Trump accepts that.  I'm calling Donald Trump.  Call Donald Trump."
"OK, I'll take that as a no."

It is very concerning. Waiting for the “grown-ups” to come back and solve all the childrens’ problems. I’m not at all sure that the grown-ups are coming back.

I had a friend in Houston who spent a number of years early in his career being a campus cop. He said the vast majority of his calls involved drunk, naked, or both.

Two more:

Guy robs a gas station store with a handgun and runs.  Cops show up at the station.  One of the cops sees a guy a few blocks away who matches the description, and he runs him down.  There's a lot of "I didn't do anything!" as they take him back to the car.  One cop tells the other "that's Joey; he robbed a convenience store about a year ago."

They put him in the back of the car and tell him he's under arrest for armed robbery.

"I didn't even have a gun!  Didn't even have gun!  What are you . . ."
"It's on video Joey.  We saw the gun."
"It was a fake gun!  A toy gun.  I didn't . . ."
"Doesn't matter.  You . . ."
"I didn't have a gun, guys!  I didn't even have one on me!"
"You have a chance to say that in court when . . "
"Guys why are you doing this?  You're supposed to be chasing down real criminals, immigrants and people who . .  immigrants!  Illegal immigrants!  Not people like me!"  (Joey was white)

I was amused by a two time armed thief claiming the cops should be chasing down "real criminals" like immigrants.

Woman and her daughter screaming curses at other people in a hotel.  Cops show up and escort them outside; tell them they have to leave.

"We did nothing wrong!  They . . ." (points at someone else)
Cop: "What did they want?"  
"They - that's who.  They have green hair.  They do things.  Who does that?  Treated us like shit.  You know, when the democrats . . .Are you liberal democrats?  You're like fucking . . . "
Cop: "Are you guys refusing to leave?"
"You're a liberal!"
Cop: "Are you guys refusing to leave?"
"Yes."
Cop: "Turn around, you're under arrest."

No doubt they told their friends that the libs arrested them because they hate white people.

Evidently Trump has longed to become knighted.Sir Donald sounded so good to him. He has buddied up to King Charles and because the UK wants favourable trading status been invited to TWO state visits.

Trump figured that King Charles would like a fancy sword. A sword owned by President Dwight D. Eisenhower no less. So his minions approached the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum for its sword. The museum director stated that he could do no such thing because the sword belongs to the US government and the museum. 

Its director was just fired because he refused to be a party to theft of government property.
