ABC Cancels Jimmy Kimmel

Recommended Posts

American right wing anti-WOKE madness is out of control. The entire executive of ABC needs to be fired for lack of backbone.

Trump started by successfully shaking down law firms, then universities, then corporations. Trump was paid bribe money because corporations needed government approval to merge. Cash to Trump gets government approval or gets a cross-hair on their back if bribes are not paid.

Hi Phil,

I agree 100+%.

All part of the Trump 2.0 takeover of all aspects of our society.

Colbert was first; who will be next?

The takeover of a state by a dictator starts with intimidation, control of thought and speech. Democrats need to stop being intimidated by the Trump clan. Or piece by piece they will be devoured.

Can't wait to see your meltdown when the next democratic administration declares the NRA a terrorist organization, and cancels FOX News.

You should think thru your ideas.

Or do you mean the Leftist zeitgeist of ideas would actually be successful in a causing a civil war, or is that the goal.

Bail is the release of suspected criminals back onto the street in advance of trial. That's what bail means. That's what it has always been.

Did you hear about the murders of Melissa Hortman, Mark Hortman, and Heather Heyer?  Did you hear about Jan 6th?  The Antioch school shooting?  The Covenant school shooting?  That's what the policies of your side produce.

Decarlos Brown Jr., the 34-year-old accused of fatally stabbing Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on a train in Charlotte, North Carolina, has a lengthy criminal record with at least 14 prior arrests. His rap sheet includes convictions for violent offenses and property crimes dating back to at least 2013.

Overview of criminal history
Brown's criminal record, according to news reports and court documents, includes:
Mental health and arrest record concerns
Brown's family has said he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and that they struggled to get him consistent treatment.
    • Robbery with a dangerous weapon: In 2015, Brown was convicted of this charge and served five years in prison, with his parole ending in 2021.
    • Breaking and entering and larceny: He was convicted of these offenses in 2013.
    • Assault: In 2022, he was arrested for assaulting his sister, but she did not press charges due to his mental health issues.
    • Misuse of the 911 system: In January 2025, Brown was arrested for misusing the 911 system but was released on cashless bail.
    • Other charges: Throughout his criminal career, he has faced charges for assault, firearms possession, and other offenses.
    • His mother reportedly told a local outlet that he should not have been on the streets.
    • The incident has sparked a national debate over the criminal justice and mental health systems, especially how he remained free despite his long history of arrests.

It’s ok the threshold for being a rich white criminal is over 34 felonies, so since we cancelled DEI he’s got quite a few to go before he’s bad ;)

He was never apolitical in a personal capacity, he was a registered Republican - and that’s while he was director of the FBI. Now you’re disappointed that he’s expressing a political opinion while purely a private citizen? Lighten up, Francis!

As for Brown - whatever his history, according to your source he was currently on bail for a non-violent offence. Why should he have been denied bail in this instance? That’s like saying Trump should have been denied bail in the documents case because he might have raped someone while he was free and awaiting trial.

I don't watch any late night shows, so everything I've heard is secondhand.

Inasmuch as I don't agree with anybody across the board, I'm not big on one stance trying to drown out or otherwise silence conflicting standpoints.

If someone advocates criminality, that is, in and of itself, proscribed.  Beyond that, I have a problem with censorship.

Where do you draw the line?  People spouting definitive, verifiable nonsense, such as Flat Earthers?  Mormons?  Scientologists? Virtually any religion, for that matter?

Apparently, Jimmy had the shooter as a MAGA type, rather than MAGA spawn.  Other than that, it seems his key transgression was criticizing the living.

I actually am more comfortable with someone who does not speak well of someone they didn't like simply because they're dead.  I make a huge difference between people I miss and those whose passing is a relief.

You can't criticize someone's lack of class if you have none.

That is exactly it. Whatever anyone thinks about whether Kirk should be criticised right now - Kimmel didn’t criticise him. At all.

The only things he said regarding Kirk were to criticise JD Vance for spouting evidence free conjecture about the shooter, and to criticise the Republicans in general for politicising the situation.

that’s what they couldn’t stand, and that’s what you’re going to get in Donald Trump’s free speech utopia - the chair of the FCC threatening to take your station off the air if you criticise the Republican Party.
