I've seen the video on Twatter, I'd be amazed if he survives. It's a tough watch, seriously.

I hope this isn't that tripwire The Pedo Felon is searching for or creating.

 

Only thing I've heard of the suspect is right wing bible thumper - but it's too early to really believe much outside the video.

Perhaps some are unaware as to who Charlie Kirk is and what he stands for.

In a podcast of his "In October, he invited veteran white supremacist Steve Sailer, whose bonafides include writing for overt white nationalist publications including VDare and the Unz Review, on his podcast. During their interview, Kirk called Sailer his favorite “noticer”—a word frequently used in internet conservative spaces as a euphemism for individuals willing to publicly draw bigoted conclusions linking race and criminality. Sailer did exactly this during their conversation, insinuating that Black people commit crimes because of innate characteristics: “Blacks tend to commit murder about 10 times as often per capita as whites… it’s not just all explained by poverty.” 

“Steve, what you’re doing is so important,” Kirk gushed.

In January, Kirk hosted Curtis Yarvin, a neo-reactionary, anti-egalitarian who has described slavery as “a natural human relationship” and argued the biological roots of intelligence vary between populations. (He has tried to walk such claims back.) While Kirk seemed uncomfortable when Yarvin’s expressed his affinity for monarchy, he mostly remained effusive and praised his guest for “thought-provoking ideas” that “I love.”

As of now there is no known suspect. The man who was detained has been cleared. It can happen quickly for white men.

Let no tragedy go to waste, eh? You could at least have waited for his body to be cold before leveraging his murder to make a cheap political point.

Conservative media is all atizzy suggesting that funding for security details for congresscritters needs to be forthcoming. That the rhetoric needs to be "toned down".

Naturally MAGA republicans forget that Trump just cancelled security for John Bolton. This after a $20 million bounty was placed in 2024 on Iranians who had targeted Bolton for assassination.

Interesting discussions in some corners of the web regard Hamas involvement in response to his hatred of Palestinians. "He claims they don't exist. Now he doesn't" is a quote I'm seeing a lot.

His bio makes it appear that he also was known for antisemitism as well. Christian nationalism is a harsh mistress.

Turning Point USA(TPUSA) is an American nonprofit organization that advocates for conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses. It was founded in 2012 by Charlie Kirk

"TPUSA is also beginning to get involved in far-right filmmaking. In September 2022, the group released “The Enemy Within: FBI Whistleblower,” which features right-wing conspiracy theorist John Guandolo, who has demonized the FBI and promoted anti-Muslim tropes.  In the film, Guandolo encourages people to take the law into their own hands and promotes ideas similar to those expressed by the anti-government Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, whose followers believe “the county sheriff is the ultimate authority in the county, able to halt enforcement of any federal or state law or measure they deem unconstitutional.”...

In the same March 31 episode, while introducing an interview with Donald Trump Jr., Kirk told his listeners, “You should be angry today. And this is a time for action, and this a time to realize that the country we love has slipped away and we have to get it back.”
