JerryBaumchen 1,468 #1 Posted July 17 Hi folks, My first sewing machine was a Singer 401A. I built an entire container with it. I consider it a great machine for someone just starting in sewing. If you use a #18 needle, you can sew 'E' thread quite easily. You can find these machines just about anywhere in the USA; Etsy & e-Bay have them. I used to refurbish and Ebay them. But I got lazy and they are just sitting around now.
