You hide behind a tree and the drone comes down and it circles you with fire. You don't have a chance and the tree comes down also by the way. It's so intense the— I mean you see these trees being knocked down like. . . .Like they're being sawed down by a top of the line, uhh, timberman like... Like... You know who? Sean . uh . Duffy. Do you know that Sean Duffy, the head of the Transportation Department, who's working right now on the airports and getting a system because Biden didn't do a thing for four years and Pete Buttigieg was the head and he goes bicycling to work. He takes a bicycle to work, can you believe it? He's head— He's running the biggest air system in the world and he takes a bicycle to work. What a— And they say he's going to run for president, I don't see it. Who knows right? But I don't see it. But, uh, when I look at what they've done uh, it's so horrible what they've done and the work they did do they wasted billions of dollars. They tried to hook up air systems to... To copper. They tried to hook up copper to glass and the glass doesn't work with the copper and... uh . . .uh they had 30,000 different contractors doing 30,000 jobs and when they put it all together they spent billions of dollars. It didn't even come close to working and we're going to be giving out a brand new system. It's very important. We'll have the best system. And we think we know who that system is but we have a lot of bidding. But we want one check. We want a unified system. We don't have, uh, 5,000 contractors and all different places, some digging ditches and some not doing ditches because they want to go by satellite. Satellite seems to be the way to go. We're going to be giving that out pretty soon. But what people don't know about Sean cause I mentioned lumberjacks that Sean — you probably didn't know this that uh — I'm not talking about this Sean, this Sean no, not, this is not... This is a different Sean. Sean Duffy, the head of Transportation. He's a great Sean though, I have to tell you but Sean Duffy was the world champion for five years climbing trees and down, up and down, world champion! So that's what you call a serious a lumberjack. And he's doing a fantastic job too, a really respected guy and terrific guy and I mentioned the champion because when somebody's the champion — he's the world champion for a long time — he came down, when you come down those trees, coming down at a rapid... He said that started getting your back. You will often break your back! You... You miss... You miss a shot and you're coming down a lot faster than the human body was meant to come down. But he's doing a fantastic job at Transportation. But this has been a very, uh, historic trip. ================================================= So takeaways: Pete Buttigieg biked to work and therefore was a loser. But Sean Duffy is a lumberjack (or maybe a timberman, or something like that) and he climbs down trees faster than anyone - faster than humans are supposed to! - so he's great. He's like those drones that circle you with fire. The former guys tried to hook up air systems to copper and glass, but glass doesn't work with copper. The new system will have a lot of ditches all dug by one guy. Or one company. But they won't use ditches! They will use satellites.

He needs to know the limitations of the satellites though, they're slow. You turn them on and you get nothing. The democrats have shut that down. But the glass, the glass is fast, it's like you've never seen, but nobody knows glass like Trump. We need to connect the glass to the satellites. It works like really quick. Trump thinks he knows who can do the satellite work too! No wasting money because no contractors to worry about either.

Hi Joe, This far more serious than some incoherent speech. The speech is entertaining & does show his thinking [ or lack thereof ] process. Go back 10-15 yrs, who would have thought someone so stupid, so thin-skinned, etc, would be our President. Jerry Baumchen The argument that Biden's selfishness gave us President Trump is probably valid. He never should have sought a second term. The field should have been open from his second year. Biden's crime was hanging on, Trumps crimes are different and worse. Even in light of knowing Biden's diminished state he would have still been a better choice and that sucks.

Re: the failure of anyone in the party to stand up Very similar to the failure of the GOP-types to stand up against Trump when they know what he is doing is ruining this country. As to what is/was worse: That answer is very subjective. It was about 40 yrs ago that I read an excellent article on why the Belt-Way Types refuse to give up the prestige & power that their offices give them. Or so they think. I wish that I could remember where I read it; probably TIME magazine. As Wendy says, we need an age-out req'ment. Jerry Baumchen

Except for my being a swiftie. As you so eloquently and, I must say, accurately pointed out I would have voted for a potato on a stick instead of Trump. Neither Biden or Harris were on my top 50 list but for sure Trump was at the top of my never list. I saw him for what he is and nothing since his reelection causes me to rethink that perception. However, if you didn’t see him for what he is or thought it was all a joke about destroying NATO or being a dictator from day one or if you were ignorant of the Supreme Court immunity decision, or thought that was a joke too, then for you it wasn’t a harder decision than one between a blowhard and a doddering old fool. We can blame Republicans all we want but history will show that we did this to ourselves and to our country and the world. It’s all now in retrospect but the truth is that he looked old and acted old. The truth is that we blew off the Hur report. The truth is that we should have known he wasn’t good for anything more than beating Trump one time. And we should have acted on that fact. Just the way it is, like it or not. To be clearer, I absolutely fault D's in power for standing by and doing nothing effective, if they did anything, to dissuade him from running. It's a hot mess of our own making, that's the bottom line.

Sure, if the nation rises up in protest as happened with Vietnam and during the Civil Rights Movement but those took time and a willingness to suffer that doesn't seem on offer these days.
