JerryBaumchen 1,445 #132 April 25 Hi folks, Here is your future: FBI director says agents arrested judge for obstructing immigration operation The Nazi's first came for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak for me. Rev. Martin Niemoeller Are you next? JerryBaumchen 1,445 #133 April 26 Hi folks, I am a believer that the Democratic Party must distance itself from the 'Old Guard.' Those such a Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Patty Murray, etc; it is a long list. While AOC is out raising hell with the GOP, I do not believe that she can get any further than possibly the US Senate. Here is one Dem that seems to making some noise & taking a shot at the future: Sen. Chris Murphy's 'emergency' message about Trump is persuading voters | AP News He has a long way to go; but, he & others like him IMO are the only hope to overturn the MAGA-folks. Thoughts? That sounds a lot like another poster here who insisted he may as well vote for the R team because "they are all just as bad as each other". AKA rationalization.
