Republicans are starting to realize what they've done

So for background, the debt limit needs to be increased again.  And Trump REALLY REALLY wants it a massive increase now, because then he can blame Biden for it later, and he won't have to deal with the issue for four years.  He's actually said this.  So Trump republicans meekly obeyed and proposed NO debt ceiling, giving unlimited spending authority to Congress.  After all, how else will they get the billions they need for the Department of Govermental Efficiency?

Real republicans shot it down in flames, then went on a tirade.  Chip Roy: “I am absolutely sickened by a party that campaigns on fiscal responsibility and has the temerity to go forward to the American people and say you think this is fiscally responsible. It is absolutely ridiculous!"  Trump republicans do not have "an ounce of self-respect."

I’d forgotten how bad the Trump chaos was. Seems like Musc is going to make it even worse. Imagine a government run like Twitter?

In the same way 'free speech absolutist' Musk files numerous SLAPP suits against those who criticise him and will insta-ban anyone who posts mean things about him on Twitter, 'government efficiency' is almost certainly going to mean fiscal austerity for thee, massive subsidies and contracts for me.

I can't wait until the Department of Governmental Efficiency is going through tens of billions a year, and claiming that they can make government even more efficient if they can just get two billion more.
