Jack1993 0 #1 Posted December 4, 2024 Hi, I was wondering if anyone has used the Caelum Systems talkable and has an opinion on it. I love the idea of a talkable atli but I don't want to pay the VOG prices. Seems a bit long that you have to connect to a laptop to make any adjustments on it as well Any thoughts/opinions? Thanks! mattd8b 0 #2 February 27 I have one. Louder than a VOG but lacks its simplicity Need laptop USB connection to check or change somethings Vog bluetooth, Used with closed faced (G3, G3.5, G4 and Fujin) I'd recommend them
Pat007 0 #3 March 2 I've put 1000+ jumps on my VOG and about 200 on the Talkable. I like them both, but find I'm using the Talkable now. It has options for beeps as well as talking altitudes, which I like. Good volume on both (and both are infinitely adjustable, vs low, medium, or high volume), Has a minimalistic logbook, but I don't find it very useful. Downsides of it are it requires USB to a computer to make adjustments, requires a cable to charge. The user interface is not very intuitive. But, the price is very reasonable, and Caelum Systems is a startup, so I wouldn't expect perfection yet. They have already made several improvements since the first release and I expect the Talkable to only get better! I recommend you give it a try!
