You're not the only one:

"Strolling in bright sunshine across the immaculately raked gravel of Paris's Tuileries gardens, Barbara and Rick Wilson from The Dalles, Oregon, were not exactly in disguise. But earlier that morning, on their very first trip to France, Rick, 74, had taken an unusual precaution.

Before leaving his hotel, he'd taken a small piece of black tape and covered up the Stars and Stripes flag on the corner of his baseball cap.

"We're sick about it. It's horrible. Just horrible," said Rick, as he and his wife contemplated the sudden sense of shame and embarrassment they said they now felt, as Americans, following President Trump's abrupt moves on global trading tariffs.

Barbara, 70, even had a Canadian lapel pin in her pocket – a gift from another tourist - which she thought might come in useful if further subterfuge proved necessary."

Its OK Barbara, we don't mind.

I have long seen MANY more baseball caps in the US than any other country I've been to.

I think that type of hat and general hat etiquette, or the general lack of by those in ball caps, it's pretty easy to identify US citizens.

Hi Mark,

I've been in a fair number of foreign countries.  IMO it's pretty easy to identify US citizens.

I do not care what you are wearing.

Backwards and shading eyes is the sign of true intelligence!

Baseball caps are quite common here in Aus. Both my sons wear them as fashion statements. The one in the military wears them forward and the one on benefits backwards :)

Just be careful when you visit those sites. You have to go under the diaper, up the anus while avoiding the undigested bits of Big Macs. Royal contamination is everywhere.

Hi folks,

More Trump involvement, to the detriment of us all:  West Point has been going through a period of readjustment since the start of the Trump administration.

Trump seems to want to meddle in virtually everything in this country.

Antagonistic Narcissism Traits:

Aggressive and Confrontational Behaviour: The antagonistic narcissist will always be in a state of competition. They may interrupt others, dismissing their ideas in a very demeaning expression, and as a result, constantly be engaged in power struggles.

Intentional Manipulation and Gaslighting: They will also engage in manipulation to an extreme degree, which will often involve denying any hurtful actions and insisting those things either didn’t happen or that their partner is just too sensitive.

Exploitation of Weaknesses for Personal Gain: In the workplace, to further their own agenda, if they notice a colleague has a fear of public speaking, they might intentionally put them on the spot during presentations to make themselves look better by comparison.

Deliberate Provocation of Conflicts: They might also stir up animosity within their friend circles, pitting friends against each other and watching the fallout, often using this to divert attention from their own flaws and missteps/mistakes.

Lack of Empathy and Remorse for Harm Caused: In a family dynamic, an antagonistic narcissist may bully their younger sibling, completely unmoved by their distress. Even when confronted, they will show no remorse, gaslighting and blaming their sibling for being ‘too sensitive.’

Hi Keith,

That nailed it.

IMO this one is the most definitive of Trump:  Lack of Empathy and [ Lack of] Remorse for Harm Caused

One of the main reasons for antagonistic narcissism is childhood trauma, such as neglect, emotional abuse, or inconsistent caregiving. These early experiences can lead to deep feelings of insecurity and a heightened need to protect themselves by putting others down.

This will help to explain Its an article from People magazine that provides an excellent overview of what shaped Trump's fatally flawed personality. From the best selling book  Too Much and Never Enough Mary Trump's book.

"Mary writes: "Donald's problem was that the combative, rigid persona he developed in order to shield him from the terror of his early abandonment, along with his having been made to witness his father's abuse of Freddy, cut him off from real human connection."

From this view, Too Much and Never Enough traces the "parallel lines" of Freddy's deterioration despite his nominal place as the family scion and the rise of his younger brother Donald, here described as a brash, boundary-less bully — not so much greedy as a black hole, warping any rule or restraint around him."

Exactly, but add mean spirited chaos. If the chaos can cause suffering all the better.

Make no mistake about it, it is Christianity that makes this national nightmare a reality.

"President Donald Trump announced Monday that the Department of Education will soon release updated guidelines to safeguard “the right to prayer” in public schools.

Speaking before the White House Religious Liberty Commission, Trump reaffirmed his strong religious convictions and criticized how he sees the separation of church and state as being used to marginalize devout students.

He declared, “To have a great nation, you have to have religion,” adding, “I believe that so strongly.”

During the ceremony, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner delivered a prayer.

"Father, we thank you for our president, Donald J. Trump, whom you have anointed and appointed for this time, for such a time as this. Lord, thank you that the president prioritizes prayer," he said."

Hi Joe,

Re:  Trump reaffirmed his strong religious convictions

There is a LOT of BS that comes out of the Trump White house.  This one will probably take the prize for 2025.

There was a news article a couple of months ago. Also tied in with the fact that almost all the big porn providers are Canadian apparently and there were noises about Canada should cut all porn to the US in protest of the tariffs.
