Hi Keith,

Re:  somebody of fortitude

What is your definition of a person like that?

I think that these are called follow-on questions.

PS)  There used to be an old saying about the guy who waited for the perfect car; he walked to his grave.

Well, foremost, no giggling. World leaders could never take such a person seriously. Also, no chance, biological or otherwise-ical, that they might go all hysterical at the wrong moment. That's non-negotiable.

Over the past couple/three weeks you have prescribed a new direction for the Democratic party - what's your thoughts?

Too late now. I’m sure you’ve heard of that old barn door. You and yours fucked up and there is no going back.

Trump’s Final Term Ends in:

Unless nuclear war with Iran, China, etc. doesn't end America's reign of power first. Unless economic war with the whole world doesn't end America's reign of power first. Unless Big Macs, obesity and a sedentary lifestyle doesn't kill Trump first.

Oh well it was a good run while it lasted.

First, anyone who needs to look over their eyeglasses to make eye contact needs to go. And anyone else who looks old. We need to accept we went way to far with woke such as ever arguing that biological men should be allowed to compete against biological women in sports, that sort of thing. There is absolutely no reason to not be vocal about restricting access to social services like Medicaid to those that abuse the system. Things like that are where middle America lives and the left needs to move strongly in that direction if they want to win. We need to get real about electing women to the presidency anytime soon and we need to find candidates who resonate with the Hispanic voters we lost along with the last election. We need to learn to use the media as a weapon in the way it is used against us and we need to learn to project strength instead of hyper intellectualism which just ain’t clickin’ with voters we need. We also need to see success less in terms of the opposition failing and more in terms of our messaging connecting with voters. That sort of thing.

Hi Joe,

Well put; I absolutely agree.  Thanks for taking the time.

And, since we are dreaming:  We need to get rid of the Electoral College. That old albatross is holding this country back.

Well, yes, and get rid of the 2 Senators per state nonsense, too, but I think Keith was after how to get those who could not vote for the Democrat in the last election.

I would add to the above list, which is far from complete, this which I posted on May 18 (#73) in the Tariffs thread:

I passed through Red state Ohio last week and caught part of a Trump ad on tv. It was just as if they were extolling the virtues of a hero who arrived just in time to save us. Every last action and policy was working perfectly, as in breathlessly, beyond belief etc. etc. etc, closing with Trump majestically looking up and to the future.  Of course the tariffs were bringing in billions. They aren't just relying on partisan news and their voters ignorance, they are taking a page from the fascist playbook. They are in control and they have no intention of letting democracy get in the way this time around. We can be as demoralized as we like pointing out facts like he is a con man and corrupt but his supporters just do not care. In fact, I think they like it. Next up: Democrats, recognizing their own impotence, start pointing out the good in all that is happening. The world is changed.

No war was ever won fighting with the only weapons used in the first battle. We need to evolve and fight today's enemy and the weapons they are using now. We need to flood the airwaves, we need Jasmine Crockett and her white clone to be our media pit bulls and we don't need Wes Moore on the ticket so folks who couldn't vote for a black female can feel absolved by voting for a black male. Yes, he's a great man but also, yes, your neighbor is a racist who won't vote for him in 2028. Especially so now that he's empowered to be a racist asshole in public.

On that subject, we need to quit looking at only who is available today but for someone who fits the profile we need for the best chance to succeed in 2028. We need to look at who can be trained for the candidacy over the next cycle.  Think about it: who the hell was Andy Delk or any of several others before Airspeed decided they had the right stuff, a winning attitude, and most importantly would do just what the fuck they were told to do, and could be trained to be World Champions?

We as a party need to get that win however we need to win attitude that the Autocracy Party has in spades or quit whining.

I suggested you come back to the middle; admit open borders, sanctuary city and soros psychopathy more than a simple serendipitous slip. Perhaps your still mistaken why he won the first time, either way, the four year break was just the evidence the voters needed. I voted for sanctuary policy back in the day,  it's a far cry as it was proposed,is practiced today. As usual the left never knows when it's too far. An Unconstrained Vision of the self anointed.

If you have connections into the DNC, I could for a fee, help. A joe Rogan on the left. The problem Joe,Rogan was on the Left, like so many the Party left him.

Stephen Fry quote I thought fitting," the paradox of our time; the liberals are illiberal in their demand for liberality, they are Exclusive in their demands for inclusivity, they are homogeneous in their demands for heterogeneity. They are somehow undiverse in their calls for diversity."  In other words throw out the identity/political correctness you'd be heading in the Right direction.

Sometimes Democracy sucks and Loyalty is conditional.I played this for Bill four plus years ago, thought you'd appreciate.

Last bit of advice.Don't use the media as a weapon. It doesn't work,'the fine peoplez' can spot it like a blond Joy Reid, besides it's been an abject failure in the past. Some would say it caused the lack of trust in MSM. Jasmine's busy trying to impeach Trump, again, silly lady. But this woman you could learn something from.

I've read both posts and think it's a good scope document. At some point, the democrats will have to in short order - put  up a name, so people start learning about their platforms. As usual; I don't agree with all of someone's positions, but as long as I can get around most. Wes has the educational background, understands what going to war means, so would have some pause, and somehow his gun legislation has passed muster where other states can't.

At some point, names are going to have to be floated. They may fall by the wayside between now and 2028; but the direction would be noted.

What the fuck does this mean.

That Trump policy is running rampant with 1300 plus days yet to run? Would be my guess. I wouldn't take it as personal. IMO midterms will start to swing everything back to .....normal??? But recent actions show it will get worse before it gets better.

i.e. ‘Let Bibi Go’: Trump doubles down on call to end Netanyahu’s corruption trial

US president calls proceedings a ‘witch hunt’ and, highlighting the billions in US aid to Israel, warns, ‘We are not going to stand for this’

So now he is threatening aid unless the justice systems in other democracies is bent to a corrupt Trump ideal.

Domestically:  "University of Virginia President Resigns Under Pressure From Trump Administration

The Justice Department had demanded that James E. Ryan step down in order to help resolve a civil rights investigation into the school.... over the college’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts."

Oh there will be much more to come from the mind of the naked King.

Discrimination and civil rights violations is the Norm. That's why I like to shit on the Academies and Academia. Some say I should go easy on academia because that's where fascism begins.ioi The "anti- racism" racists run rampant in the cult institutions as they embrace broken ideas of the ideology, ie. 1619 Coates, White Fragility Dr. Dei Angelo and of course naked Dr IXK.  One would assume, such naked kings Idiots. But then Again,  the lack in critical thinking of those that promote CRT, I find ironic..

I don't think Vance prances around ignorant and naked, but patiently waits on the wing as is a host of turncoats. Ideas not Identity.

Just for fun. Which witch are we hunting.lol

In an unusual twist of events, as irony highlights the moment, New York Attorney General Letitia James, who successfully brought a civil fraud case against Donald Trump and the Trump Organization resulting in a $454 million judgment, is facing a federal criminal referral for alleged mortgage fraud.

  To my unanswered complement,

Thanks. I know you are a Wes fan and should be were the coming contest one of choosing a swell human being. I would be a very happy camper if we lived in an enlightened land where a female with a german name could be elected leader by a nation of latino's but we are too backward and our founding documents are plainly insufficient in this more modern world.

Look, by now we all should know that America would be a safer and more collaborative place if old white men would recognize that diversity and inclusion aren't just concepts but strengths to act upon. Or, better yet, if they would just take a hike. But that won't miraculously be the landscape in 4 years and definitely not in the 4 years we have to prepare. So we need to quit talking Moore and start talking less of what middle America and the boys and girls proudly waving Confederate flags will never vote for. Instead we need to focus only on what has the best chance to win the Presidency. Then we use the rulings of our current, corrupt Supreme Court to start the process of, 1. Ensuring the Right has no chance in 2028 and, 2. Jamming democracy down the throats of all of the ignorant motherfuckers who made this shitty, zero tomatoes, movie a reality.

Let me expand on this. Wes is "a" name. One that resonates with me, but I agree with your assessment. Sen Kelly is another. What the Democrats need is another "Clinton" type to take the stage, play his saxaphone and fuse the democratic party together again.

Kelly works for me, might need to kick in for hair extensions but that does attract some voters.

Hi folks,

Re:  You’ll always be my friend

Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis praise one another at Alligator Alcatraz opening

Wow; that is on par with, 'I am not a crook.'

Any friend of Trumps is only until they say something about Trump that he does not like.

Trump is one of the most thin-skinned people I have ever known of.  Completely paranoid.

Hi folks,

Reminds me of the Who's On First skit:  The Trump administration celebrated, too, and put out a press release to mark its role in helping the state get Ratcliff home. But the release from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services left out one detail: The Trump administration, in its budget request for the next fiscal year, zeroed out the money for the program that helped Ratcliff move.

Trump administration hails her release -- as it ends program that got her out : NPR

To me, the truly fascinating part is that ALL of this was known, yet he was still supported. Still is.

I never realized the shithole AmeriKKKa actually is before The Felon made it acceptable.

The current environment makes me regret my oath, but thanks for a hell of an education.

Don’t regret your oath. You put your life on the line for the people and country you love and cherish.

I’m not going to pretend that I think it will come right, but I hope that you’ll find peace and a way forward in the country you now live in.
