Trump just announced that Putin has agreed to keep an American hostage unless Trump wins the election.

Now, even if he is (once again) lying - this means that he is relying on Russian support, real or imagined, to win the election.  And he is colluding with Vladimir Putin to keep an American hostage in a foreign country to ensure his win.  And this time it's not based on US intelligence or good reporting - it's based on Trump's own words.

It's insane that anyone still supports him.

If he actually was talking to Putin about this and not just making shit up - is it any different to what Michael Flynn ultimately went down for?
