So Trumpty Dumpty files a lawsuit against Michael Cohen, and then after repeatedly dodging sitting for a deposition by Cohen's lawyers, finally dismisses it.

Trump moves to "temporarily" dismiss $500 million lawsuit against Michael Cohen

I don't think Trump had a choice here. The deposition materials would be admissible in other court cases. There is no way Trump is smart enough to understand what he says and how it would be used against him in other cases.

From what I understand Cohen should now have a rock solid case for legal fees and sanctions against Trump. I really don’t buy into the rehabilitation of Mickey C (he was a willing criminal participant right up until it stopped benefiting him personally) but when it comes down to which scumbag to root for here there’s only one winner!

Given the defenses trump lawyers are putting up in his current fraud conviction trial. It should be the foundation for some fantastic crackpot idea of a defense. But when you have no defense and straws are nowhere to be found.

If they can already tie the defendants to some kind of collaboration with Alex Jones, they probably just want him on the stand to show the jury how fucking crazy it is to think anything involving Alex Jones could possibly be either official or legal.

So ole' Rudy FAFO:

Judge penalizes Giuliani for ‘continued and flagrant’ disregard of court order in 5-page ruling

The Judge also said the jury will be instructed to infer that Giuliani received “substantial benefits” for defaming the election workers and that the Giuliani businesses “continue to generate” revenue from their operations.

The order makes it clear that Giuliani and his counsel will not be able to make an argument or introduce any evidence related to his financial benefits. He also will not be able to state or suggest that he is “insolvent, bankrupt, judgment proof, or otherwise unable to defend himself, comply with this Court’s orders, or satisfy and eventual judgement.

Be it trump or Giuliani the noose of the courts is getting tighter and tighter. Giuliani should join the trump wagon and work to ensure that trump's re-elected and he can receive a pardon. Otherwise its FO.

Next up for a beating by the courts should be Mr. pillow guy.

Another  of trump's former lawyers, Sidney Powell has plead guilty and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors. Who'd have thunk it?

But is she even sane enough to remember what the truth is if she testifies against the other perps?

I really hope she doesn’t get a particularly good deal. From what I can tell she was a real driving force on a lot of the most insane and corrosive conspiracy theories, as well has the hands on election machine tampering and breaking and entering parts of the whole thing.

Six years probation plus a requirement to testify.

And what jury is going to believe anything coming out of that wacko's mouth?

Hi Robert,

One thing I have noticed over the years; there is a lot of difference in what one says on stage or at a podium vs what one says under oath.

Lying at the wrong time has consequences.

So a few days ago Trump claimed that the evil prosecutors are trying to keep him in court so he doesn't win the election.  “I have to be here instead of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, lots of other great places.  They want me to be here.”

Then less than four minutes later, in exactly the same speech, someone asked him if he'd be at court on Thursday.  He replied "Probably not.  I have a very big professional golf tournament at Doral, so probably not.”

So the evil government is keeping him from winning the presidency.  But not, apparently, keeping him from his even more important golf game.

I'll guess that her testimony won't be 'stand alone'. It will be used to verify the testimony of others,  or have other people testifying to corroborate hers. The prosecution is NOT stupid.

I hate to double post, but I didn't see that there were more posts.

One thing that has been VERY apparent during the whole 'election fraud' circus is that NONE of the lawyers submitted ANY false documents to any actual court of law.

Funny that no matter how ridiculous or utterly insane the claims are, none are made in a setting that has consequences for lying.

Go figure.
