Quote Bill lets change gears, back on topic. Your the solar guy and most here would value your views on the "The Biden Plan" and Bjorn Lomborg Plan. Sure had some interesting points, No. Lomborg - not really. Keep in mind that this is a guy with a degree in political science, not any kind of scientist. His book on climate change was judged to be "scientifically dishonest through misrepresentation of scientific facts" (according to the Danish Committees on Scientific Dishonesty) but he was not in any way guilty "due to his lack of expertise in the fields in question." Biden - I haven't seen a cohesive plan yet, just some executive orders. As to them: -A whole lot of blather on forming committees and 'environmental justice' and encouraging this and encouraging that. Not much there. -Coming up with a national emissions target. This is important; it will be the goal that everyone will work towards. -Federal agencies to use alternative energy wherever possible, and buy only US products to do so. A net good there from both perspectives. -End fossil fuel subsidies. Good idea. -Reestablish the CCC (civilian conservation corps) which is a very good idea. It provides employment for the unemployed and gets manpower for many of the conservation projects on the table (reforestation, remediation of toxic spill sites, building solar power systems in poor/blackout prone neighborhoods etc.) So there's not much there yet. A few promising first steps, but more noise than substance so far.
