I'm in a couple of classes, have done several family calls, was on that 100-person one (it was a zoo), and did a 30-person one that learned at least a little from the 100-person one. In 1 1/2 hrs, each person got to say what had been happening for the last 48 years (it was my high school senior class), with some running longer, some running shorter, and some entering more commentary. Frustrating, and I'd suggest 5-8 people is a good number for a discussion, anything bigger needs a moderator. And if it gets big enough, the moderator needs to be willing to actually mute people. No one who has ignored people on their list should be allowed to host Wendy P.
mistercwood 287 #5 May 8, 2020 (edited) Honestly I don't hate the idea, I just am extremely wary of Zoom itself. They have an atrocious security record in recent years, and their attitude when exploits are raised to them has been just as bad in many cases. For the curious, this was the first one I was made aware of (last year): https://medium.com/bugbountywriteup/zoom-zero-day-4-million-webcams-maybe-an-rce-just-get-them-to-visit-your-website-ac75c83f4ef5 EDIT: Added link.
