I have always said that less than 10% of the people i have jumped with/met on the dz, would I have over to my house for dinner.

As for presidents in my lifetime:

Clinton - No

Trump - NEVER

How about Clinton AND Trump?

Two negatives make a positive and all that jazz. . .

. . .not sure if Trump is into jazz music tho.

Have you ever heard a 40 something skydiver make a remark regarding dating a teenager in a couple years, a few years, or ten years? I certainly have. NDB

Maybe, but then again I've met skydivers (or at least one) who turned out to be actual murderers. Funnily enough, the fact they skydived didn't make the other stuff any less bad.

And one who went to jail for child porn.  That was not mitigated by saying "eh, skydivers, what are ya gonna do?"

Yes 17 years old, even 16. old enough to drive. But the girls wearing the trump hats look 12-13 and thats just weird. They are too young to even look attractive. Its one thing to sexualize young women but the girls in the trump hats are too young to even look attractive. Just me I guess.

When you were younger did you ever think you'd reach a point in your life where you would defend a pedophilic draft-dodging US president?

I love the way you use that tactic. Back in the day it was supporting Russia now this.

Kinda makes me feel bad for you.  It's gotta be more than 10%.  Parkman was a small DZ when I was there regularly in early '80s and '90s.  There were a few of the regulars that I wasn't fond of but certainly 70-80% of the regular jumpers I still consider friends.

Yep.  But I am sure you can justify all of that somehow.  "I don't think much about politics."  "Well, it's a he said-she said."  Morality for you is a very relative thing.

Perception is a relative thing.

You see what you believe is there and you believe it is there because you want it there. So do I and everyone else.

The problem is actually spiritual not physical. Ego is formed with survival at its core.

You are correct.

Unfortunately, you've hitched your horse to someone who has way to much ego, far more than he needs for 'survival', and who is spiritually bankrupt.

Perception is based upon what you know to be true and what you hope to be true. Based upon observation, learning, internalized judgements and interpretations of those factors.

Ego is a internalized self identity, a sense of self esteem, of self importance. I do give you credit. No matter how or how much you're insulted. I have never read a ego or reactionary insult thrown back. You're either ego-less or have very good self control.

IMO Ron perceives the trade-offs he makes in supporting trump as a net win. Although he, like others here, doesn't like to delve into specifics. As to how dealing with the devil is acceptable to moral individuals.

Yes, it can be.

You've explained your rationale on here quite well, which is why it's become pretty clear that your morality is relative.  I have zero doubt that if you saw a democrat elected who had had sex with a porn star and paid to cover it up, who had had three credible accusations of rape and eleven of sexual assault, who had asked Russia to interfere in an election twice, and who had used the justice department to exonerate confessed criminals, you'd be screaming bloody murder.  You would, in fact, be doing exactly what you did during Obama's presidency.

But since they are on your side, you forgive all that, and promote them.  And that is relative morality.  Your moral standards change based on whether someone has an R or a D behind their name.

And that's not my perception.  That's the reality, as expressed in your posts here.

As an operational philosophy, I equate cyberspace with the spiritual realm. I read the posts as spiritual manifestations. Some are demonic, some merely natural human expressions. Either way there is no longer any point in engaging them as a contest. The environment is simply not real, just the spiritual expressions.

Ephesians 6:12

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
