COVID-19 Donations, trump Zero, Trump International Zero

For many liberals here it's difficult to interpret simple issues, like the difference between rates and raw numbers. . .snicker.

Trump on multiple occasions has indicated that the amount of testing the US has done is a great indicator of how well the US has responded to the pandemic. If your President feels that is the case, then the raw number of deaths is a valid indicator as well. So, take your issue up with Dear Leader.

As it stands you are a typical Republican who cheers on the raw number of testing as an indication of how great you are, and the rate of deaths as also a great indication of well you are doing.

You don't see your projecting just a wee bit, do you?

No. You don't see it's telling that you couldn't answer the one part of my post where I said if you answer anything, answer this?

Again, if Phil answered Bart's question with "I donated X dollars" how would that line of thinking preclude him criticising Trump for not donating?

Mostly because I don't take orders from you - the last 5% was just because you bore me.

Trump will respond in the way he always does. He will look for a way to exploit the situation for his personal profit. If he cannot find a way to personally profit he will look for a way for his family to profit. He will never donate anything to anyone, unless there is someway to turn that to his advantage.

Or he will simply walk away from it. Like most every obstacle in his life. Ignorance is bliss for some.

Christ do people ever get tired of obsessing over every single thing Trump does? You think you'd be over it after 4 years, no? Is it ever mentally taxing? Have you experienced significant decline in day to day happiness?

Not a single mental health professional in the world would tell you that it's healthy to obsess over something that you have zero effect over.

Someone can post a single sentence with the word "Trump" in it, and without a doubt, someone will jump in with multiple paragraph replies pointing out the inaccuracies in their rhetoric and style in which they present it....and then it rolls into this endless cycle of bickering that clearly serves no purpose other than to get riled up, you're obviously not going to change anyone's mind...... I just imagine it to be exhausting. I thought this website would have clearer heads and more restraint on their call to their keyboard arms than my facebook feed, but that looks to be mistaken. I understand level-headed political debate, but c'mon people the style or arguing that I'm seeing in this thread reads like something off of a Twitter thread.

Orders? This is a discussion. You put forward your point of view because you wanted it to be heard. You have been defending it because you want to be believed. You now avoid the central question because...

I didn't ask you to answer that question because I want to tell you what to do, I asked because it's the single key point in question. You're not avoiding it to prove 'I'm not the boss of you' - that's just empty bluff and bluster. You're avoiding it because you can't answer it, but at the same time you can't possibly just say "oh yeah, I was wrong". So you just try this boring twist, obfuscate and avoid thing again. Wouldn't it be easier to just give a genuine answer to the question like a normal person having a discussion?

Agreed. The people who pop up only to question the motives and mental health of those they disagree with instead of attempting to use their reason and principles to address the issues under discussion do tend to drag the place down, don't they?

Good bait(s) but no thanks. There is no "discussion" being had here, if there was I wouldn't have made my original post, and if this is what you would constitute as discussion I see the my point is going to fall flat regardless :)

have a good one Jake blue skies

I don't need to bait you into saying what you had already offered up.

That's exactly the point. I would absolutely not constitute [sic] your post as discussion.

So you are complaining that people follow the lead of your president?

sigh....if somehow that's what you interpreted from my post, and you're that desperate for an internet argument, I will give you the grace to interpret it however you'd like. I'm going back to work, have away at it kids

I spent about an hour today browsing these forums while taking a break from work, and at no point did I come across a post of yours, or a reply, that gives the image of a real discussion or debate. Just a bunch of emotional children. I'm not sure what I expected diving into a political sub-forum on a skydiving website.

I know you might think your one sentence replies to other similarly animated intellectuals give the impression of discussion, but at this point, having read some of your replies, I think you're smarter than that, and are really just wasting both of our time. Quarantine activities right?

The threads here center on politics. For most political parties the cabinets and important members of that party co-participate in the decision making and policy. In the trump party there is only trump. Now that John McCain and others who objected to trumpisms are no longer in the party.

On aviation forms airplane junkies will endlessly debate the worthiness of aircraft types, like the A-10. Others will rightly state that loitering drones have made the A-10 obsolete antiques. Those members will debate endlessly the pros and cons of A/C and their weapons systems. Their performance and lack thereof. None of which will ever be submitted to MD, Boeing, etc. Or to the Air Force committees that decide on the parameters of the contracts for new A/C. It doesn't seem to effect the mental health of those members. Who continue to debate in those aviation forums.

His time is his to waste.  It reflects on YOU that you're letting him waste your time.

The first time in Speaker's Corner can be a challenge.

While you take the time to adjust, maybe read what this forum is actually about?

Just because it's a skydiving community web site doesn't mean every forum on it discusses skydiving. I seriously doubt any of the manufacturers really give a rat's ass about our discussions in this particular forum.

Helpful hint. When you jump into a discussion out of nowhere and your first two paragraphs are spent in saying that the people in it are engaging in mentally unhealthy obssessive behaviour, it kinda comes across sounding as if you're after an argument. Maybe just keep that in mind for next time eh?

My one sentence replies? That just goes to prove that you haven't even read this thread, let alone anything else on the site. Hmm, what does that level of honesty remind me of... yep, Turtlespeed sockpuppet.
