Phil1111 1,182 #1 Posted April 30, 2020 “We did all the right moves,” the president said Wednesday. “The federal government rose to the challenge, and this is a great success story,” said his son-in-law. “We think we really have crossed a big boundary and much better days are ahead,” said trump yesterday."He disclosed that he plans to fly to Arizona next week and soon after that to Ohio, his first trips out of the White House since early March “I’d like to get out,” he said. “We did all the right moves,” Mr. Trump said. “If we didn’t do what we did, you would have had a million people die, maybe more, maybe two million people die.” It's not about the over sixty thousand dead. Its about the two million he personally saved because of his bold and decisive actions. "Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, went on Fox News Wednesday to suggest the country is ready to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic and accompanying city and state lockdowns. "I think that we've achieved all the different milestones that are needed," Kushner said. "So the government, federal government, rose to the challenge and this is a great success story. I think that's really what needs to be told." MAGA. Who knew it could all be so easy. Declare victory, rewrite history, move on. The problem vanishes. Like the concept of American integrity in the WH.
Phil1111 1,182 #2 May 4, 2020 (edited) "President Trump accused the Chinese government of making a “horrible mistake” in its coronavirus response and of then orchestrating a cover-up that allowed the pathogen to spread around the world. “My opinion is they made a mistake. They tried to cover it, they tried to put it out. It’s like a fire,” Mr. Trump said on Sunday night during a virtual town hall on Fox News. “You know, it’s really like trying to put out a fire. They couldn’t put out the fire.” Pompeo Ties Coronavirus to China Lab, Despite Spy Agencies’ Uncertainty. So trump and his lapdog Pompeo are both out selling the China Lab lie. Jerry Baumchen You are delusional and watching too much CNN if you think Biden's slowly deteriorating brain has even a half chance against Trump on the debate stage, let alone when it comes to actual election night. Burying your head in the sand and failing to acknowledge the increasing odds of another Trump presidency is exactly how we ended up here in the first place. Sad to see the same mindset being perpetuated a second time around.

Jerry Baumchen Hi Jerry that's good to hear, I find watching mainstream news outlets (regardless of their orientation) leads only to a severe poverty of facts and an abundance of emotions. Hi hog, To each his own. I do not agree. The PBS News Hour is one that I have a lot of trust in. Some others, but with less trust. riggerrob 643 #11 May 5, 2020 I have to read 4 to 6 news sources before believing a story: PBS, CBC, Fairchild Radio, Radio Canada, The Economist, Soldier of Fortune Magazine, Der Spiegel, Paris Match, Toronto Globe and Mail, etc. CNN does not match my attention span. Note that I did not name any main-stream Vancouver or Los Angeles newspapers. When I lived in Riverside County, I drove 90 during to visit a news store that sold the above mentioned magazines. Speaking of which the FOX motion to dismiss is likely to be heard in the next couple days. Fox News Faces Lawsuit For Calling COVID-19 A ‘Hoax’ The first such consumer-protection complaint came from the Washington League for Increased Transparency and Ethics (WASHLITE) on Thursday, which named Murdoch,__ Fox News, AT&T, Comcast, and other related entities as defendants" From The Hill: trump is moving on, C-19 is officially over: "The decision to disband the task force, which includes medical experts, public health officials and leaders from various government agencies, is the clearest indicator yet that the White House is ready to turn the page to focus on the economy, even as doing so could lead to a spike in infections."
