Iran bankrolls terror around the world, and nearly pulled off an assassination in DC. They rule Lebanon with an iron fist via Hezbollah. They provide funding and logistical support Syrian rebels in Golan, and are building yet another military installation in Western Syria (the Israelis are waiting for that one to be finished and fully manned/equipped before they flatten it). Moral: There are different kinds of invasion. Their Marxist trainers taught the Persians right. Many countries have military ambitions, some are better at it than others. I hope C19 helps the assahollah and all his corrupt cronies to meet Allah. JCPOA wasn't just about nukes. Iran also promised to stop being dirty. But then that's like expecting pigs to stay out of mud - it's just their nature.

They've gained a lot of power in Lebanon through proxies, but never actually invaded. Same in Yemen.

They may have built some installations in Syria, but then again...
So has the US.

You sort of ignored the Professor's question about how many the US has invaded.

And you are very wrong about a couple things:

1 - Iran never had 'Marxist Trainers'. The Soviets never, ever had any real influence over Iran. Iran was the US's puppet until '79. They had all the best US hardware, including F-14 Tomcats. The only MiGs they ever had were the one's Saddam's airforce ran away with. The Shah's secret police, the SAVAK, were trained by Mossad, not the KGB. Some of them bugged out during the 79 revolution, but many of them stayed. Their loyalty was to their country, not the Shah. Or to the power of the position. Either way, some very well trained folks ran Iran's intel community. But not Soviet trained.

2 - The nuke agreement was just that. Nukes. Not terrorism. The article you linked a few posts back addressed that. It clearly stated that Obama was leaving certain sanctions in place despite the 'historic agreement' because Iran was still playing games the US didn't like.

That’s amusing -

When I do that WRT the POTUS, it’s “defending Trump”

THAT’S rank hypocrisy.
I appreciate you letting that come to light.

Yes, what you do is rank hypocrisy.

This disussion is different, in that someone in it is defending the enforcement of fairly unique sanctions against Iran for doing things which are not unique.

Who would have suspected a compliment from you?

Bibbedybabble warrants complements? I suppose die hard watchers of trump speeches. Where his base claps and applauds nonsense, speculation, racism, ridicule. Might condition you to expect that. Sorry to disappoint.

You're not a trump speech writer are you? That reads like it came right from his mouth.

But he's truthful.  Very truthful; no one is as truthful as him.  All the time?  Maybe not.  But never . . . there's everyone . . . so many people say it.  He's very truthful.  Not always.  But never not.  Fake news.

Rather like US nursing homes.

True, and those will be called on to account for themselves in a court of law. In Iran, the Assahollah makes the law, and is accountable to no one. See the difference? I thought you could...

Not true.  Apparently a lot of CV-19 deaths in nursing homes in hard hit places like New Jersey and Louisiana are not listed as due to the virus because there were not enough tests available for confirmation.  And then the evidence is buried or cremated.

Thank you.

How long do you think it will be before you can say the same?;P

I know Churchill said everyone gets more conservative when they're older but I really don't think I'll ever be as biased towards the right as you.

I can't imagine you will.  I wouldn't expect you to.

We grew up in very different cultures.

Some things you are taught, and that becomes part of your core beliefs.

Some things you over ride your core to look at things in a different way, and find out you were incorrect in your initial alignment.

When this place isn't ALL insults, and Trump Bashing, I like to banter here, because of the opportunity to explore different ways to view topics that I would otherwise have left unchallenged in my mind.

Thanks for that.
