JerryBaumchen 1,465 #1 Posted April 15, 2020 Hi folks, Since we now have so much idle time on our hands, I thought I'd get thoughts on this. Here is a start: Amy Klobuchar Tammy Baldwin Tammy Duckworth Kirsten Gillibrand Kamala Harris Susan Rice Elizabeth Warren Gretchen Whitmer Who else would you put on the list / or who would you pick? Jerry Baumchen If only I thought that Sanders could remotely compromise or work with anyone else a Biden/Sanders ticket could win. Bur he’s too inflexible, too idealistic and too proud to be a VP. I see your list is all women - I’m still not sure if a female VP will bring more votes to Biden than it will for Trump by people opposed to women in power. Biden has stated that he will choose a woman.

Yoink is right, no doubt. But Biden did say a woman. I've been thinking Klobuchar or Harris but Rice is a damn smart option, too. I think Cuomo would be a better vote getting choice but the man has already said he's picking a woman so there it is.
turtlespeed 226 #5 April 15, 2020 Where is Tulsi Gabbard on the list? Rather, why isn't she there? She seemed to be a reasonable choice for the #1 spot - let alone the #2 - which is almost guaranteed to become the #1 spot within a 4 year max. I'm pretty sure that your choice for VPOTUS should be the one that you would have voted for for POTUS. Biden just isn't looking all that good.
wmw999 2,584 #6 April 15, 2020 Tulsi Gabbard and Stacy Kemp both belong on that list. And Joe needs to publicly acknowledge that there's a decent chance that this will be the President, and that he's chosen accordingly for qualifications, not just to appeal to voters. But she also needs to be an effective attack dog -- Joe doesn't have an attack dog bone in his body. They're already starting to call him a pedophile out there in stupid-land. Of course, then she turns men off because she's too aggressive. Funny how that goes. Wendy P.

Wouldn't it be swell if he could bring her along to the debates?
wmw999 2,584 #8 April 15, 2020 I can just see a debate between Biden and Trump. What evidence that maybe there should be a maximum age -- "Now, sirs, let's talk about the economy" "My fans adore me! They buy my stuff" "The economy is evidence that there is a mismanagement of management of managers" "Oh -- a butterfly!" Wendy P.

I don't think folks are opposed to a woman in power. I think they were opposed to HRC in power. Big difference. Almost 40 years ago women made huge inroads with Geraldine Ferraro. I would say shame on the Democrats for not continuing that trend. And when a woman finally got on the ticket again all the left could do was attack so let's not get confused here. You do understand that the D party nominated a woman at the top of the ticket last time around, right?

And look what happened to Ferraro, too -- she was absolutely pilloried because of her husband. The candidate doesn't exist who doesn't have a real life and faults behind them. It speaks to their followers whether they acknowledge and discuss or simply ignore those faults. Wendy P.

Probably will be again soon. It's "probably" another reason why we don't have anyone worth a shit on the ballots. If there was a way to keep the media from capitalizing on the business of trashing someone, or defending them . . . politics would be wondrously different.
