I would like to know who you’ve been talking to who specifically said that their objection to the parade was solely based on the idea that it would have main battle tanks in it.

 

It would be really interesting to find out who was thinking that.

I wanted to see if the parade would match/ exceed what you can see on 14 July in Paris, which I believe is the nicest military parade. 

Also Trump didn’t get the Russian technique to avoid the rain. No collusion there. 

Edited to add: and I like armoured vehicles, being an ex artillery officer. Love my M109

Well there's the disconnect.  I'm not the one that had a problem with those vehicles being called tanks, nor was I trying to imply that in my initial posts.  Personally I think it's understandable given the resemblance, plus it just makes it easier to talk about without continually having to make a distinction between a Bradley and an Abrams or whatnot.

The part about the "silly" misguided outrage was an afterthought to normiss's post describing the entire event as "silliness."
