Cohen has a lot of experience as finance chairman for the RNC - and he has plenty of experience using dirty money to pay to cover up embarrassing GOP gaffes.  A pardon could get them an experienced money man lickety-split.

If not, then perhaps Manafort.  Or Gates?  Or Papadopoulos?  Flynn?  Stone?  Patten?  There are plenty of ethically qualified people for such a position, some a mere signature away from having the charges against them nullified.

Can't imagine why they're having trouble finding someone who wants to sign their name to Trump election financing.

Nope. While it used to be that campaign funds could be used any way the candidate wanted to, that's changed.

Jesse Jackson Jr & his wife went to prison over misuse of campaign funds.

Of course, the fact that it's illegal won't slow Trump down much.

Yikes!  I wonder who will go to jail over Trump's illegal use of campaign funds?  Perhaps John Dowd, his current personal lawyer.

"John Dowd is a great guy, the best lawyer really.  Everyone says so.  The DA's office wishes they could get John."

"Dowd?  Who's that?  I don't really remember him.  Maybe he got coffee?"

"Why is the #failingmedia talking about what Dowd did as if I did it?  WITCH HUNT!"
