LATimes: Trump, stung by midterms and nervous about Mueller, retreats from traditional presidential duties
http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-trump-absent-20181113-story.html

Quote

Although it was Veterans Day, Trump bucked tradition and opted not to make the two-mile trip to Arlington National Cemetery in northern Virginia to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, as presidents since at least John F. Kennedy have done to mark the solemn holiday.

You can’t exoect a draft-dodger to respect veterans, anyway.

Hey, he showed his concern on Veterans' Day by suggesting that Florida military be disenfranchised.

It couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy.:|

Last night on "Real Time with Bill Maher", Bill mentioned this, and it got this reaction from Gary Kasparov:

"The first election Putin's lost, fair and square."

But for the large part, IQ matches educational level. From Charles Murray’s book Coming Apart, data based on standardized testing of 25 year white Americans, comparing education level to IQ:

No degree - 87
High school degree - 99
Associate degree - 104
Bachelor's - 113
Masters - 117
PhD - 124

IIRC, IQ tests were originally developed to identify those that might need special attention wrt to education.

They weren't designed to ridicule and/or oppress certain people.

My IQ suggests that I should be further along in life according to social standards, but the fact that I'm not suggests that there are other factors involved in determining one's capability.

Agreed.

Of course. IQ just measures raw intellectual ability; "processing power" if you will. Success (or as you put it "being further along in life") depends on a great many things. IQ is only one part.

Ok then. Would you also agree that the poster who started this chain of discourse is misguided in his intended use of IQ and the implications thereof?

Even success is subjective. You left out the part about social standards. "A person is smart, people are dumb."
